BI’s MSc programmes top 20 on “employability” in QS Business Masters Rankings 2023

MSc students from BI Norwegian Business School are seen as some of the most employable graduates globally, according to QS Business Masters Rankings 2023.

BI’s MSc in Strategic Marketing Management, MSc in Business, MSc in Business Analytics and MSc in Finance all perform among the top 17 percent worldwide in terms of “employability”, an indicator created by QS based on its global survey among employers and employment rate for graduates.

The QS Global Employer Survey has been running since 1990 and contributes to a number of key research initiatives operated by the QS.

«The survey response is very robust each year and we are pleased to see employers across all sectors, types, and geographic regions take part. These include leading business school hiring companies such as McKinsey, Google, Siemens, Airbus, and many more,” QS writes in its ranking results.

BI’s rank on Employability:

  • MSc in Business Analytics: Top 16.5%
  • MSc in Strategic Marketing Management: Top 11.7%
  • MSc in Finance: Top 16%
  • MSc Business: Top 14.2. %

Strong results

The QS Business Master's Rankings highlight the best graduate masters’ programmes across the world and includes more than 600 programs in 2023.  Each of the Business Master's Rankings is compiled according to program performance in five key metrics: Employability, Entrepreneurship and Alumni Outcomes, Return on Investment, Thought Leadership, and Class & Faculty Diversity.

Overall rankings:

  • MSc in Business Analytics is ranked 35 out of 133 programmes.
  • MSc in Strategic Marketing Management is ranked 21 out of 120 programmes.
  • MSc in Finance is ranked 39 out of 189 programmes.
  • MSc in Business is ranked 31 out of 176 programmes.

Executive Master and Bachelor GraduationFacts:

  • The backbone of the QS Business Master Rankings is the QS Global Employer Survey, which asks employers to select the schools that they prefer to hire from. The survey has now been running over 20 years.
  • A total of 13 criteria form the basis of five key indicators that programs were ranked on: ‘employability’ (30-35%), ’alumni outcomes’(15-20%), ‘return on investment (20%’), ‘thought leadership’(20%) and ‘class & faculty diversity’ (10%).
  • Data is collected using three surveys; the QS Global Employer Survey, the QS Global Academic Survey and a survey completed by the business schools themselves.
