BI BBA Programme 2005 – 2007
Current studies: MSc in Political Economy at BI
Why did you choose to study at BI and Norway?
My decision to study at BI Norwegian Business School was due to the fact that the school is in the capital of Norway. I chose to study at BI because there is a large interest in Scandinavian business culture across Europe and especially in my home country, Lithuania.
What have you gained from the BBA programme?
I finished the BBA programme with a specialisation in finance. I am really
happy with the programme, because of the international class that we had and the fact that I had a chance to study the most up-to-date business cases in relation to Norwegian and Scandinavian business cultures.
I think the programme is very successful in the sense that students can choose a
specialisation to get a more in-depth understanding of a preferred area of
What are your reasons for continuing your studies at BI?
I chose to continue my studies at BI because I really like the academic level
of professors and the innovative ways of thinking at the school. I chose to continue my studies in political economy, not only because I have a deep interest in it, but also because I believe it is very valuable to have a political economical background in the business world of today.
How do you think you can apply the BBA programme in your current studies?
I believe that the BBA programme gave me enough knowledge of business and
finance to continue my studies in the political economy area. Several courses that I took in the BBA programme are very relevant to the MSc programme, as well as giving students a general understanding of economics.
What are your future career ambitions?
After finishing my Masters, I plan to work in Norway for a few years to get the maximum knowledge of the business culture and the governmental system. My ambitions are to go back to my home country and apply the knowledge that I have acquired, to benefit Lithuania, its business environment and its system as a whole.
