PhD candidates admitted to PhD Programmes at other institutions are welcome to take PhD courses at BI.

Admission to a PhD Programme is a general requirement for participation in PhD courses at BI Norwegian Business School. We therefore ask that you attach confirmation of admission to a PhD Programme when signing up for any of our courses.

Candidates may be allowed to sit in on courses by approval of the responsible for the course. Sitting in on courses does not permit registration for courses, handing in exams or gaining credits for the course. Course certificates or confirmation letters will not be issued for sitting in on courses. Please contact the responsible for the course if you should wish to sit in on the course, and inform the Doctoral Administration of the decision.

Please note that BI will give priority to its own PhD candidates if the courses look as if they will be fully booked. This is usually the case with our common courses which are compulsory for BI’s PhD candidates.
