Workshop on CSR in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Systems - Supply-chain and Stakeholder Issues
The workshop brought petroleum companies together with their contractors/suppliers to explore how CSR could be furthered throughout the value chain by identifying issues, obstacles to be overcome and opportunities to be gained.

Track/workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility
Under the 17th Nordic Conference on Business Studies in Reykjavik arranged by the Scandinavian Academy of management.

The track/ workshop was the first in its kind in the Scandinavian Academy. It gathered around 30 participants with papers and fostered interesting discussions and reflections. The track also served to establish new ties between Nordic academics in this field.
Selected papers will be published in a special issue of Journal of Corporate Governance.

Track on the policy framework of CSR
Under the European Academy of Business in Society’s 2nd meeting in Copenhagen
Track Chair: Atle Midttun and with participation also from Jan Olaf Willums
The track gathered around 30 scholars and policy makers, including representatives of the EU commission and the European Parliament for a debate around governance and CSR.
Selected papers will be published in the afore mentioned special issue of Journal of Corporate Governance

The Corporate Social Responsibility of Energy Industry- Perspectives and Challenges
Co-arranged with Centre for Energy and Environment (BI) and the Nord Pool.
The seminar attracted 35 Nordic energy firms, representatives from the association for energy industry, the regulator (NVE) and the Council for consumer affairs.
CSR issues were hotly debated against the experience of last winter’s price hikes.

Parallel Session on the role of Government in CSR at the National Conference on CSR in Trondheim
Co-arranged by CCC/Atle Midttun and Veritas/ Peter Vilsted.
The Session was by far the largest of the 3 workshops, with around 60-70 people attending and raised heated debate between government representatives, NGO’s and industry.
Heidi Høyvik from BI’s Centre for Business Ethics also had a plenary presentation at the Trondheim conference.
