
The course is designed for undergraduate students with little or no previous knowledge about China. The course has 75 seats, and is divided into two tracks: "Chinese Economy" and "Chinese Politics". The two tracks will also have joint lectures on "China Basics". The course is open to BI students and other students from the Nordic Centre member universities. BI is given 3 seats to begin with. Students apply through the International Relations Office at BI by using the application form found in the right hand margin. The applicatition can be delivered in person as well as sent by email to

The students must hand in a written paper in order to pass the course. The theme of the paper can be decided by the student, but it must be related to the topics discussed during the course.
There is no tuition fee for the course. However, students must cover travel expenses, accommodation, medical insurance, and living expenses themselves.
