The residents of GS 13 can enjoy the many facilities located in the building: a solarium, squash courts, laundrette, coffee house, roof terrace with a view over the city, broadband connections in all rooms, cable TV, storage rooms for sports equipment, and much more besides.
The block of flats has many shared facilities for the residents, and is located only a short distance from the school as well as the Student House.
The BI students’ own housing foundation
The housing foundation is called Nydalen (BSN) and is an independent and self-governing body which was founded by the BI students for the purpose of creating cheap and good alternative housing for students.
At the beginning of term in 2006 the BI students were able to move into brand new student flats right next to BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo. The student accommodation is in four blocks of flats, and the project covers a total of 24 000 m2, including the common rooms.

In addition to having a high-quality selection of bed-sits and flats, the residents at BSN will have access to facilities that really sets BSN apart when compared to other student halls of residence.
Such as the large (200 m2) roof terrace, complete with gas BBQ and a view over the city, its own squash hall, laundrette, solarium and storage room for sports gear, etc. BSN also lets out premises for businesses such as the Bunnpris shop and Tavli Krepa Bar on the ground floor of our blocks of flats. And all these facilities are located less than 500 metres away from the school buildings.

How to apply for accommodation in Nydalen
Present and future BI students can fill in an unbinding application on this form. Through their membership of the Oslo Student Union (SiO) the BI students also qualify for the 1200 student flats at Bjølsen, as well as other student flats in Oslo.
The SiO student accommodation
Once you have paid your term fee to SiO you can choose between over 6000 bedsits and flats of all sizes and prices, all centrally located in Oslo.
You can apply directly on the web or visit one of the Student hall receptions at Bjølsen, Blindern, Sogn or Kringsjå. The sooner you apply for accommodation before the term starts, the better are your chances and your choice.
