Alessandra is Associate Professor in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Department of Strategy at BI.

Her research interests focus on Innovation strategy, Entrepreneurship, Firm growth and the effects of Financial constraints for innovative firms. Her research papers have been published in Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Organization Science, Research Policy and Industrial and Corporate Change. Her teaching interests mainly focus on Innovation and technology strategy. 

Alessandra has been teaching courses in Innovation and technological change, Economics of organization, Principles of organization and Statistics at the undergraduate level; Economics of Innovation at the PhD level and International Business at the MBA and MSc level. She is also responsible for Data Science/Analytics Master of Management courses at BI, together with Espen Andersen and John Chandler Johnson.

Before joining BI she was an Assistant Professor in the Business Department of the University Carlos III of Madrid. She received her Ph.D. in Economics and Management from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy. She graduated in Statistics from the University La Sapienza in Rome, Italy.
