Social media: The Chinese perspective

This seminar aims to enhance East-West understanding of social media and digitization by presenting it from the perspective of the "other".

A Chinese perspective on the global information disorder caused by fake news and "troll" factories in the West is followed by a Norwegian perspective on rumors and public representations in China.

Two distinguished researchers lay the foundation for mutual learning and deeper understanding of local conditions.

The seminar is organized in collaboration with Network for Asian Studies at University of Oslo
