Simula@BI: Adventures in Data-Driven Software Engineering

In this talk, I'll give an overview of our research in data-driven software engineering over the last eight years. We'll explore various directions, such as the use of association rule mining for giving software change recommendations, unsupervised techniques for efficient analysis and diagnosis of high volume build and test logs, the use of ML-based NLP for the detection and repair of vulnerabilities in source code, use of artificial immune systems to build autonomous self-healing software systems, and initial ideas around a new project that uses knowledge graphs to collect and interconnect cyber threat intelligence to enable proactive risk assessments.
