Extreme Tech Challenge

The world's largest startup competition comes to Norway. The winners will compete in the finals in San Francisco in June.

The Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), the world’s largest startup competition, is partnering with Innovation Norway and BI Norwegian Business School to bring XTC to Norway for the first time! With Aksel Lund Svindal, Trond Riiber Knudsen and Tharald Nustad among the invited speakers.

XTC aims to accelerate startups changing the world for the better through innovative technologies by providing the opportunity for global visibility and access to investment capital, corporate strategic partnerships and world-class mentorship.

In 2021 alone, the XTC competition attracted over 3,700 startup applications from nearly 100 countries. 80 startup finalists were selected and 43% of those were female founded. The finalist cohort collectively raised over US $233 million in venture investment since being selected. XTC now boasts 21 regional competitions and 71 global partners composed of corporations, venture capital firms, universities, policymakers, and tech conferences and hundreds of informal partners.

This new Norway regional competition finale will be held on March 21, 2022 at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo. Tech Startups founded or co-founded by Norwegian entrepreneurs are invited to apply to this new regional competition by March 4, 2022.
