February Academic Writing Retreat for Early- and Mid-Career Researchers

The Academic Writing Retreat brings together early- and mid-career scholars from the Nordics and other parts of Europe for a joint event to advance research manuscripts, grow professional networks, and motivate cross-national research conversations. The aim of the Academic Writing Retreat is to use dedicated writing time and workshop elements over several days to significantly progress with writing projects in a secluded and supportive environment.

Writing projects can include book chapters, journal articles, grant proposals, or reports. During the retreat, we work based on a structured workshop and writing program that is developed in accordance with a research-based framework for academic writing retreats: dedicated writing time paired with scheduled discussions to help generate solutions to writing problems, develop drafts, lead to research-orientated conversations, and provide feedback on the writing in-progress.

The Academic Writing Retreat is jointly supported by the European Network of Emerging Scholars (EUNES) and  the Nordic Alliance for Communication & Management (#NORA).
