Christmas party for Incoming Exchange Students

3 December 2009

The international office at BI invited all its exchange students to a traditional Norwegian Christmas lunch.

Most of the exchange students are here only for one semester and the party gives them an opportunity to meet and properly say goodbye to each other.

The menu consisted of rice porridge served with sugar, cinnamon and a knob of butter. They also got to taste the traditional Christmas drink “gløgg”, a hot sweet drink spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and cloves.

Even Father Christmas took his time to stop by and play Christmas carols on his accordion creating the perfect Christmas feeling.

Eline Jensrud, coordinator for the Exchange Students, says: “The students seemed excited over the event and very grateful for the book on Norway they were given to take home as a memory of their stay at BI and in Norway. It is also a good opportunity for BI to get some feedback on their stay at BI.
