Digitisation in creative industries

18 June 2015

Norway's research council has allocated 15 million kroner to the Centre for Creative Industries' project "Digitisation and Diversity - Potentials and challenges for diversity in the culture and media sector".

The project will explore the relationship between digitisation and a variety of diverse dimensions in both the culture and media industry and its consumers.

The research project is in collaboration with NTNU, the National Library of Norway and the University of Copenhagen as well as industry associations including Norges Museumsforbund and Mediebedriftenes Landsforening.

- The Department for Communication and Culture is incredibly excited for this funding and we are looking forward to working with fantastic partners. This is a highly interdisciplinary research project, which tries to address from different angles, the challenges and opportunities that digitisation brings, says Anne-Britt Gran, Head of the Centre for Creative Industries.

"Digitisation and Diversity" is one of three projects from KULMEDIA that was granted support. The other two subjects that received funding are from University of Oslo and University of Bergen. Read more here.
