Miha Skerlavaj receives the prestigious 2020 Zois Recognition

The Slovenian government has awarded BI’s Professor Miha Skerlavaj this year’s Zois recognition for outstanding achievements in science.

The Zois Awards and Certificates of Recognition are the highest scientific recognition offered by the Republic of Slovenia, celebrating exceptional scientific achievements and activities in the last seven years.

The recognition is given to researchers who have contributed with highly successful work within the field of research and development. It has been handed out annually since 1998, on the anniversary of the birth of entrepreneur, philanthropist, and researcher, Žiga Zois.

The jury acknowledges Skerlavaj for his contributions to world science in the field of knowledge and innovation management.

Skerlavaj has lived and worked in Norway for several years after first joining BI and the Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour back in 2011. In addition, he is also a Professor of Management and the Vice Dean for Research and Doctoral Studies at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business.

Commenting on this latest recognition, Skerlavaj says he is honored to be able to enjoy the vibrant research culture at BI.

– I am happy to the moon and back. I want to express my gratitude and honor this recognition as a collective achievement along with my friends and colleagues at the Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour here at BI.
