NORSI will be the research school for PhD students in the Nordic countries within the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. It is a networked based school where BI is one of 26 partner institutions. NORSI works to enhance and strengthen the Nordic innovation and entrepreneurship research education and community.
This is a continuation of NORSI, which as previously a national research school with mainly Norwegian institutions.
Since its establishment in 2012, many of BIs doctoral candidates have already benefitted from being connected to NORSI. Nationally 200 PhD students have so far been members of the research school which offers world class academic courses within its fields, and is a valued networking arena for both young and established researchers.
New organisation
For the last 8 years, BI has had the coordinator role of the school. However, the organisation of NORSI will now change to enhance increased Nordic collaboration. NORSI will have a Management Team, an Executive Committee and a General Assembly where all partner institutions and the students are represented.
NORSI is hosted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and co-hosted by BI Norwegian Business School and c-coordinated with Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship. The Research Council of Norway and the NORSI member institutions fund NORSI.
The official opening of the Nordic NORSI takes place on 28 January on Zoom and will be open for anyone (if you want to register send an e-mail to Birte Horn-Hansen).
