The Global Business School Network (GBSN) is a non-profit organization that works in collaboration with business and management schools, governments, and aid agencies to improve access to high-quality education in the developing world. The deficiency of management and entrepreneurial skills has long been a barrier to economic and social development in these regions.
Opportunities for experiential learning and broader networks
With a global network of over 100 leading schools across six continents, GBSN fosters cross-border networking and knowledge sharing, while also advocating for the significance of management education through a range of initiatives.
“The partnership provides BI with a platform for collaboration, innovation, and impact that extends far beyond BI. By leveraging GBSN’s network and resources, BI can make a meaningful impact to the development of responsible leadership skills in Africa and other developing regions”, says Karen Spens, the President of BI, who also serves on the board of the GBSN.
GBSN membership also opens the doors for students to participate in GBSN programs such as GoTrade GBSN Fellowship Program as well as competitions organized by other member schools, such as the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford Map the system. Such opportunities are great arenas for meaningful experiential learning and opportunities to grow a wider network for both BI’s faculty and students.
Joining a network of impact leaders in business education
The GBSN membership is an important element of BI´s mission to educate responsible leaders who can contribute to sustainable development worldwide. Schools seeking membership are evaluated based on their strategic fit, and commitment to GBSN´s purpose of enabling the developing world to have the talent it needs to generate prosperity. Membership is by application only, and triple-accredited schools are eligible to apply.
