Carl Fey appointed fellow of Academy of International Business

Professor of Strategy at BI Norwegian Business School Carl Fey joins group of leading international business scholars.

“The Academy of International Business is a leading organization for international business scholars globally. For The Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and BI Norwegian Business School it is of great value that our faculty take part in important organizations like this. It expands the impact and recognition of research and helps with our academic community together with leading scholars from around the world,” says Head of the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship Thomas Hoholm.

The Academy of International Business (AIB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting impactful research, improving business education, and collaborating with leaders in policy and interdisciplinary research. The AIB fellows are a group of distinguished scholars who have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to business research.

“I am humbled to have been elected AIB fellow by my peers. I believe that with this recognition also comes the responsibility to help develop tomorrow’s international business scholars and to continue to do cutting edge research which makes an impact on management theory and practice. I hope this recognition also will help strengthen BI’s reputation in international business,” says Fey.

He is most well-known for his research on international knowledge transfer for which he won the Journal of International Business Studies decade award for in 2013 and his research exploring which management practices work best in different countries due to cultural and institutional differences with a special focus on understanding how firms can work effectively in China and other large transforming economies.
