BI Norwegian Business School is to be a sustainable and environmentally-friendly school able to hold its own among leading business schools in Europe.
- From now until 2018, our goal is to reduce, by our own measures, CO2 emissions at BI Oslo by 30 % based on 2011 figures (5463t CO2).
- Regional schools will from now until 2018 reduce its own CO2 emission by 15 % based on 2014 figures.
- Compensate for other CO2 emissions with EU quotas to become climate neutral.
- All BI schools will be Eco-Lighthouse certified.
- BI will carry out a greenhouse gas inventory every other year for all its schools.
- Actively motivate and inform all our employees, students, tenants and suppliers to carry out their tasks in an environmentally-friendly and responsible manner.
- All new projects, purchases and leases will be assessed with respect to external and internal environmental factors.
- BI Oslo will strive to be rated energy class B (is currently C).
- All new schools will be minimum energy class A.
- BI will dedicate sufficient resources to environmental and climate work.
