1. When were you an active case student at BI and at which campus?

During the last year of my bachelor's, I got introduced to BI Case and joined BI Case at the campus in Oslo.

2. Why did you decide to join BI’s case activities?

I joined BI Case because I was curious about problem-solving, and BI Case provides a unique opportunity to challenge and develop your problem-solving skills.

3. What was the name of your case team and how did you find your teammates?

Aqua Consulting was the name of my team, and I met my teammates through BI Case. None of the team members knew each other in advance, but we quickly got along and are now great friends!

4. Did you have a specific role on your team?

During my time at BI Case I tried a few different roles but mainly focused on strategy and team leading.

5. Which case competitions did you take part in?

I had the pleasure of participating in BI National Case Competition 2021, BI International Case Competition 2022, and The Nordic Case Challenge 2022 in Reykjavik.

6. What is your best memory from your case journey at BI?

Traveling to Reykjavik, Iceland to compete in a case competition with some of my best friends was by far the most fun thing I did during my bachelor's.

7. What are your top three takeaways from case training and competitions?

  1. Had the best time of my life!
  2. I’ve met a lot of great people and met some of my best friends.
  3. I’ve challenged myself and developed a lot of new, both soft and hard, skills.

8. What skills did you learn from participating in case which were relevant to your development/career and how?

Firstly, I developed my communication skills, both verbal and written, which enhanced my performance at school and work. Secondly, I developed my analytical skills which are key to problem-solving both at work and in my personal life. Thirdly, I’m a Microsoft Office wizard now.

9. Do you have any advice to students who are curious about case?

If you are curious about case, you should definitely join! BI Case is challenging, but if you really enjoy problem-solving this is a unique opportunity to learn invaluable skills and meet friends for life.
