When were you an active case student at BI and at which campus?
I was a case student fall 2019 and spring 2020 at campus Stavanger.
Why did you decide to join BI’s case activities?
I decided to join the case activities because I wanted to strengthen my degree and get out of my comfort zone.
What was the name of your case team and how did you find your teammates?
I was a part of the team AUKE Consulting at BI Stavanger and in the cross-campus team Phoenix Consulting. In Stavanger, I found my team during the evaluation when creating the case team.
Did you have a specific role on your team?
What I really enjoyed about case activities was that I got the opportunity to work and expand my knowledge in many different areas. In my case teams we were all really good at working together in all the different aspects of the case. However, I definitely enjoyed working on tasks related to marketing, strategy and implementation.
Which case competitions did you take part in?
BI National Case Competition 2019 and BIICC (BI International Case Competition) 2020.
What is your best memory from your case journey at BI?
My best memory was the award dinner during BIICC 2020. During this dinner we all got to celebrate a week of hard work and share our experiences. The best part was to celebrate with all of the amazing people that I got to know from all over the world.
What are your top three takeaways from case training and competitions?
- Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and hard work will pay off at the end!
- I learned how to hold a good presentation and how to talk in front of a bigger crowd!
- I learned so much during the case competitions that I would never learn if I did not participate!
What skills did you learn from participating in case which were relevant to your development/career and how?
After participating in case activities, I am more comfortable talking in front of a big crowd! Additionally, I learned how to apply theory to practical cases and situations in the work life. I think that this will be very helpful for the rest of my career.
