As climate change is increasingly becoming a key source of business risk and opportunities, more and more companies face the need to report on their sustainability performance. Over the last few years, a plethora of reporting initiatives, from UN- and EU-mandated schemes to industry-driven standards, have been proposed. Yet, managers of both small and large enterprises are finding it difficult to navigate the rapidly changing disclosure requirements and the vast array of methodologies and tools available to report on environmental impacts, circularity, and climate performance indicators. Accurate and informative reporting on these metrics are increasingly becoming a requirement for serious businesses, as shareholders, stakeholders and governments expect to be informed on how firms manage key environmental risks and contribute to the shift to a carbon-neutral and sustainable economy.

In this seminar we ask leading companies in Norway how they approach the increasingly important yet complex task of reporting on sustainability and the way they have mainstreamed these activities to their everyday business. Lars Løddesøl, CFO in Storebrand, Mette Krabberød, CFO in Color Line and Christine Lundberg Larsen, former head of Accounting Norway, join us to discuss these and many more issues from two very different industry contexts. Their presentations will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by students with questions from the audience.
