“Throughout the pandemic, the entire organization has shown a remarkable capacity for innovation and flexibility. This has allowed us not only to survive the pandemic but to come out the other side with new ideas on how to improve the content and delivery of our executive programmes,” says President of BI Inge Jan Henjesand.
Each year the Financial Times publishes their Executive Education Ranking, which is a list of the best programmes and courses in the world. The ranking consists of two categories, one for customised programmes offered in the B2B market and one for open enrollment courses. The rankings are based on surveys of alumni, corporate customers and school data.
BI ranks nr. 48 in the world for open enrolment courses and nr. 68 for customized programmes. In 2021, the Financial Times decided to halt rankings due to the pandemic.
Both categories take into account a range of 14 factors, including course design, faculty, satisfaction, and teaching methods. FT also considers the employment level of the participants where senior management programmes are ranked higher than programmes for middle managers and specialists.
“This proves that we continue to deliver competitive executive programmes and courses. Rankings such as these are important in our continuing efforts to develop and deliver top quality executive education,” says Henjesand.

- The Financial Times has nine rankings throughout the year, of which BI normally participates in five: Masters in Finance, Masters in Management, Executive Education Open and Customised programmes, Executive MBA, and the European Business Schools Ranking (Master of Science).
- HEC Paris tops the list for both executive education open enrollment, and executive education customized programmes.
