Topics in Search Theory I

Introduction

The aim of the course is to give the students an introduction to search theory applied to the labour market and industrial organization, as well as other markets (money markets, housing markets, financial markets) on the discression of the instructor.

Course content

The first part of the course goes through the DMP model of search in the labor market and competitive search equilibrium. The course then goes through the models of  retail market search. Finally,  applications to other markets are presented, like money markets,  housing markets, and  financial markets on the discression of the instructor.
