Introduction
The aim of the course is to give the students in-depth understanding of search models of the labor market, and how to simulate and structurally estimate such models.
Course content
In the first part of the course, extensions of the basic search models of the labor market are presented, including the DMP model with on-the-job search and with endogenous job destruction, as well as the Burdett-Mortensen model and the Postel-Viney Robin model of on-the-job search with extensions. In the second part of the course, the course presents techniqes for estimating the models using indirect inference.
