Global strategies for the offshore industries
Falling oil prices and new demand patterns for energy have changed the competitive situation for the offshore energy industries dramatically.
Why global strategies for the offshore industries?
This has created new strategic challenges for the industry, particularly where offshore technology and offshore services are concerned. Large exploration and development projects have been put on hold, and the optimism for new projects in ultra-deep drilling and artic waters using advanced technology has disappeared.
In this Executive Short Programme, we will train the participants in strategic analysis and help them to find new market niches, new areas of development and new paths of innovation. The role of dynamic industrial clusters will be analyzed, and best practice experience form the offshore industries will be shared.
The industrial perspective taken will be global, learning from other industries facing similar transformations. The role of knowledge based industrial development will be highlighted. Participants in the course are expected to present their business cases and ideas for innovation, and the commercialization potential will be discussed.
