New technologies and new thoughts about how to get the most out of employees need to be supplemented in the traditional way of managing, says professor Julian Birkinshaw at The Finn Øien Lecture 2013 at BI Norwegian Business School.
- We need to be more thoughtful in how we manage and lead big companies. There is more scope of individual freedom today as well as increased opportunities through internet based technologies concerning company collaboration. That's why I think we need to experiment more in the way that we manage in order to harness these technologies, says professor Julian Birkinshaw to BI Business Review.
