Centre for Digitalization

What is digitization, how does digitization influence markets and strategies, and what can companies do to adapt to digital competition and exploit digital technology?

Constantly evolving technology influences a company's business environment, both in terms of new opportunities and new threats. Business strategy is developed to take advantage of or counter changes in the business environment. If top management has a good understanding of technology and how technology changes, it can develop its strategy in advance of changes in the business environment.

The Centre for Digitization was started in 2016 and is a continuation of the Research Centre for Technology Strategy. It aims to help top managers understand digital technology and how it influences the competitive landscape, available strategies and business models.

The Centre for Digitization involves researchers from the BI Norwegian Business School as well as international institutions.
