#NORA extends its support of early and mid-career researchers with a new workshop hosted at the Annual Congress of the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA).
Early and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) who, after their PhD, make the decision to aim for tenured positions as full professors face a very competitive labor market with few available positions and very high appointment requirements. While there is some merit in administrative and teaching experience, the foremost requirement, by far, are publications in highly ranked academic journals. This puts EMCRs under exceptional pressure to develop research papers for competitive publication.
Starting from 2021, #NORA will sponsor a new Paper Development Workshop (PDW) during the annual EUPRERA congress—similar to what is being offered, for example, at the annual conferences of the Academy of Management or the European Group for Organization Studies. The PDW allows for an engaged environment to discuss and develop papers/projects with a potential towards very strong (conceptual/empirical) contributions.
More information on the PDW and instructions on how to apply for the workshop can be found on the EUPRERA website.
