The initiative is a new opportunity for emerging researchers within the fields of corporate communication, strategic communication, and public relations looking to expand their networks and build their academic careers.
Visit top departments and broaden professional network
As a part of the #NORA Research Fellowship, the selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to visit a top research department of their choice from the #NORA network.
In total, five Nordic research institutes are currently participating in the fellowship initiative; Aarhus University (Department of Management), BI Norwegian Business School (Department of Communication and Culture), Copenhagen Business School (Department of Management, Society and Communication), Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics, Lund University, (Department of Communication and Media), and Mid-Sweden University (Department of Media and Communication Science).
The selected Research Fellow will get to spend 1-4 weeks at their chosen research institute, where they will expand their network and get opportunities to discuss their research and engage with leading academics.
Present research and engage with managers
During their tenure, the Research Fellow will also get to work towards business and societal impact of their work, engaging with high-level executives, and achieving research transfer that connects their scholarship to current debates within management practice in the Nordics and globally.
Facilitating close exchange between researchers and communication executives on insights from research is one of the main aims of #NORA, and the contribution made by the Research Fellow will play an important role in this work. Moreover, this is a valuable opportunity for the Research Fellow to disseminate their work to a broader audience, as well as engaging with corporate managers.
#NORA would like to thank its corporate partners, Orkla, DNV, TietoEvry, the Research Council of Norway and BI Norwegian Business School for supporting the initiative.
Up to two Research Fellows will be selected every year. Deadline for application is 20 April.
