New Head of BIs International Summer School Programme, Head of the department Gillian Warner-Söderholm, has made some changes to the existing programme and are now kicking off three interactive webinars before the students arrive end of June. The students can get more information about the courses and ask questions they may have. More than 200 applicants to about 100 places. The International summer school is more popular than ever.

Monday, 27 March 2017 - Salangen Nyheter New book about Social Entrepreneurship by Professor Benedicte Brøgger
Professor Benedicte Brøgger has written a book about social entrepreneurship. She explains social entrepreneurship, what it is, what it covers and how it affects the community and what place social entrepreneurship has in business. She puts social entrepreneurship in larger contexts, both internationally, in Norwegian business and business modeling. The book will be released in March on CappelenDamm Academic Publishing, and launched May 2nd, 10:00-11:00 at the Library, BI Norwegian Business School.

The fresh study "Ad + - Potential advertisements for digital local newspapers with user fees", provides valuable insight into Norwegian local newspapers' commercial operation. The study is based on 23 interviews with representatives from the advertising and marketing side in 23 Norwegian local newspapers, as well as a qualitative survey among readers by four of these newspapers.

Thursday April 20th, The department of communication and culture organize a seminar at BI with the former culture editor of Jyllands Posten, Flemming Rose. The focus is on free speech and censorship in connection with the challenges of terrorism. The occasion is the debate on media management that has recently occurred in Denmark after the release of Flemming Rose's latest book "De besatte".
