Kateryna Maltseva has led a breakout session at the annual conference of Quantified-self community on September 23rd, 2018. The topic of the session was: “Human Machines: Is Quantifying Experiences Dehumanizing?”.
Kateryna has presented her research on self-tracking and dehumanization and moderated a discussion among the participants of the breakout session. Among the topics discussed during the breakout session were: “(De)humanizing effect of technologies”, “Technological solutionism”, and “Technological positivism”.
