Isabel Ebert spend a week with us in Oslo during May, and presented their work of her and her collaborators on datafication in the workplace. In her fascinating talk, she pointed out that some combinations of datafication at work may turn out to be toxic for the organisational climate and may intimidate particularly lower status employees. Case-study of theirs has shown pathways to ameliorate such detrimental effects, through for instance stakeholder consultation and better communication. We were very happy to learn from their insights, and are looking forward to an exchange in the future.
