A unique experience

Maged Eltom found a new job in Norway’s energy sector while studying for his Executive Master of Management in Energy.

‒ A unique experience that provided me with the proper mix of skills to play an effective leadership role in the future transformation of the energy industry.

‒ The programme has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the energy industry’s key issues and challenges, such as the digital impact and green transition, says Eltom.
He also found the structure with 5 two-week modules well-balanced in terms of both content and how the programme was sequenced.

‒ The modules allowed for an intensive and interactive learning process, while providing me with the opportunity to work full-time. During his time as a student, a new career opportunity in Norway also opened up for Eltom. He says the experience from BI helped make the transition as smooth as possible.

‒ Towards the end of the EMME programme, I moved from my job in the heart of the Middle East to a different position in Stavanger, Norway, which was a huge contrast in terms of transition towards clean energy, leadership models and even the weather. From the extreme heat of the Saudi desert, to the extreme cold in the Norwegian mountains.
