Centre for Experimental Studies and Research (CESAR)

The Centre for Experimental Studies and Research – CESAR – provides high quality research on decisions and markets using economic theory and experimental methods.

CESAR focuses on the behavior of individuals and firms in making decisions and the interactions among these individuals and firms in markets, industries, and sectors.

Analysis are primarily based on microeconomic theories within fields such as Game Theory, Industrial Organization, and Labor Economics.

Experimental methods take advantage of randomization and tight control to make statements about the causal effects of policies. Experimental methods are applied in the laboratory as well as in the field.

CESARs core objectives are to publish research findings in leading international academic journals; to provide research based policy advice to business and public entities; and to serve as an active network for researchers.
