A word from the President
2019 has been a year characterized by goal-oriented work to prepare BI for future challenges in the best possible way.
Strategy 2025
BI has been, and shall be, a research-based, learning-oriented and connected business school. The most important focus areas for the institution towards 2025 are internationalization, digitalization and sustainability.

Through strategic priorities and goal-oriented work, BI has positioned itself as the best business school in Norway and one of the most highly recognized business schools in Europe.
Annual result
With a profit of NOK 79.6 million, the financial result for the Foundation BI Norwegian Business School for the year 2019 was good. Total turnover amounted to NOK 1,615 million as compared to NOK 1, 576 million in 2018.
Research and academic activities
BI is a research-based school and research shall have a clear impact through publishing in internationally recognized journals. It shall be the basis for the students’ learning and must be reflected in everything we do as an educational institution.

Accreditations and rankings
Accreditations and rankings is an important stamp of quality showing that we offer educational programmes on the same level as the best schools in the world.
Partnerships, society and business
During 2019, BI has worked on strengthening and professionalizing the interaction with business, public administration and its alumni. This important work is coordinated by two departments – BI Outreach and BI Corporate.
Organisation and employees
At the end of 2019, BI had a total of 873 employees. The total figures include 445 administrative staff and 428 faculty members.

BI's annual account is developed according to Norwegian law of accounting and good accounting practice in Norway.
