Accreditations

Accreditations are an important part of BI's continuous work on study quality. They help build a good reputation and increase the value of a BI diploma. Since 2014, BI has been a «Triple Crown school».

This means that BI has achieved the three leading international accreditations:

  • EQUIS (European Quality Improvement Systems)
  • AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)
  • AMBA (The Association of MBAs)

Worldwide, only 1% of all business schools have achieved triple accreditation. BI was the first school in Norway to have all three accreditations.

Accreditation bodies regularly carry out re-accreditation processes, carefully assessing the institution's ability to maintain and improve its standards. Retaining accreditation requires systematic work to develop quality in education, research, and all parts of our organisation.

In 2023, BI was involved in two re-accreditation processes:

  • The AMBA accreditation was renewed for five new years.
  • EQUIS approved BI's mid-term reporting.
