Young Scholars Nordic Finance Workshop

BI Norwegian Business and The Nordic Finance Network (NFN) are organizing the 11th Finance
Workshop for young scholars from Nordic universities on November 24-25, 2022 in Oslo. The workshop offers junior Finance faculty from Nordic universities a forum to present their research.
In addition, the workshop aims to provide an opportunity for junior and senior faculty to meet and interact.
Theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of finance are welcome, but the author(s) must have graduated after 2016. Completed as well as preliminary drafts will be considered.
The submission is also open for PhD students entering the international job market. We strongly encourage those students to submit their job market paper. Please indicate this in your submission
email. The workshop offers a possibility to present their job market papers, get feedback, guidance, and interact with Finance faculty.
While only young scholars (PhD after 2016) and PhD students entering the international job market can submit papers, the workshop is open to faculty, post-docs, and PhD students from
all Nordic universities. If you wish to attend the workshop as a participant and/or would like to offer to be a discussant, please send an email to nfn@aalto.fi.
The workshop will start late morning on Thursday, November 24th, and run until early afternoon on Friday, November 25th. The workshop format will be paper presentations, followed by a
discussion. In addition, we plan to organize some activities to better prepare students for the job market. There will be a workshop dinner on Thursday evening.
There is no workshop fee. Traveling expenses and accommodation of presenting authors and discussants will be covered by the organizers.
Papers will be selected based on a review by the Program Committee. The submission deadline is
October 9th, 2022. Please submit your paper in PDF format by e-mailing it with “NFN Young Scholars Workshop” in the subject line to nfn@aalto.fi.
