Pathway Programme Admission

Study at two leading institutions: BI Norwegian Business School and Jönköping University through our cooperative Pathway Programme.

When applying for the BI and Jönköping Pathway Programme, you will also be pre-assessed for eligibility into the Bachelor of Business Adminsitration programme (BBA). If eligible, you will receive a conditional offer to the Bachelor of Business Administration programme applicable after successful completion of the Pathway Programme.

  • Required * IELTS overall / per part 5.0 / 4.5
  • Required **TOEFL overall / written test TWE (Internet) 61 / 14
  • Required Pearson PTE Academic overall / writing 40 / 40
  • Required University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations First Certificate Grade: C
  • Required Cambridge Michigan Language Assessments (MELAB) 75

* We only accept the IELTS Academic test.
** Please note that TOEFL language certificate should not be more than two years old.

Pathway Year - General Studies:

  • Required * IELTS overall / per part 5.5 / 5.0
  • Required **TOEFL overall / written test TWE (Internet) 72 / 17
  • Required Pearson PTE Academic overall / writing 47 / 50
  • Required University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations First Certificate Grade: A or B
  • Required Cambridge Michigan Language Assessments (MELAB) 85

* We only accept the IELTS Academic test.
** Please note that TOEFL language certificate should not be more than two years old.

  • All TOEFL tests must be sent directly from Educational Testing Service (ETS) to institutional code 8487.
  • Students who already meet the minimum requirements for a programme at BI Norwegian Business School are not eligible for the Pathway Programme. 

When Can I Apply?

Application period:

  • March 5 – May 2 

Start-date: 

  • August 2019

The principle for admission is first come, first served. The time between application to an acceptance letter is approximately three weeks if you fulfil the requirements for the programme and your application is complete. 

How to Apply

Your application will be processed and handled by Jönköping University on behalf of BI Norwegian Business School.

  1. Fill out the online application form which will be available during the application period. 
  2. When you have completed the application form, please check the information carefully before clicking on the “Submit Application" button.

Required documents:

  • English Proficiency 
  • Scan of original high school diploma and transcript (which entitle the student to university studies in his/her home country)*. See specific eligibility requirements.

* If your high school diploma was awarded in the USA (or by an American affiliated school), an official transcript of record must be sent directly from your university to our Admissions Office, in a sealed envelope. If your upper secondary school was in Pakistan, your documents must be attested and placed in a sealed envelope by the IBCC in Pakistan. If you graduated from Cameroon according to the British system, your results should be issued by the Cameroon GCE Board in a sealed envelope and sent to our Admissions Office. Transcripts from other countries may be received as certified copies or scans of originals.

  • A copy of your passport. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens may submit a copy of a valid identity card which clearly states citizenship (in English or French) in place of a passport copy.

How to Submit Documents:

You may either upload your documents on your application or scan your documents and send them as attachments by email to: Pathwayadmissions@ju.se or you may send them by regular post within two weeks after making the online application.

Any documents that you scan for uploading must be from original documents. If the document is in colour, scan it in colour. Remember to include all pages of documents, front and back, no matter what the content is on the page. Be sure that everything on the document is visible on the scan, especially embossed stamps.

Important:

  • All copies must be officially certified as true copies, which means they should be stamped and signed by the issuing school or a notary public. Scan of original diploma(s) should be made of both the documents in original language and an officially certified translation.
  • Applications that are not supported by officially certified documents, will not be processed. Jönköping University checks the authenticity of documents with the issuing school.

Tuition fees

The following fees apply for the 2019-20 Academic Year:

  • Application fee:  SEK 900
  • Pathway year (including room and board):  SEK 170,000


Tuition fees include the following:

  • Tuition SEK 80,000
  • Lodging at Campus Gränna SEK 90,000 (paid by all students)
  • Lunch and Dinner at Campus Gränna
  • Student Course Textbooks
  • Free Internet Access at Campus Gränna and at JU main campus
  • Free Bus Pass allowing travel in the Jönköping metropolitan area
  • Student Union Fee
  • Participation in leisure activities
