Graphene Batteries in the Electricity System
BI Centre for Energy invites you to a seminar on Graphene batteries in the electricity system, in collaboration with Greenventive Development.
- Starts:14:00, 14 February 2018
- Ends:16:00, 14 February 2018

The energy landscape is changing. New customer behavior, novel technology, and market approaches are shaping an emerging world of distributed energy resources (DER) alongside traditional centralized electricity resources (CER).
The intermittent character of renewable energy, typically introduced under the DER approach creates a need for complementary balancing power either from the central electricity system, or from decentralized alternatives such as batteries.
Following a presentation of the promising graphene battery technology, this workshop will explore how it could play a role in the integrated energy system. A system where information and communications technologies facilitate flexible demand, distributed generation, energy storage, and advanced power electronics, alongside traditional CER solutions.
