Foundations of Teaching and Learning at BI

"Foundations of Teaching and Learning at BI" is BI's basic pedagogical course, which complies to formal requirements for pedagogy in higher education.

The next course will be run in English, and start up in September 2020. 

Deadline for signing up is June 10, 2020

Sign up by sending your motivation letter to your head of department. 

The participants should invest about 200 hours in taking the course, over two semesters. The course includes face-to-face sessions, group work in course teams outside of course sessions, peer mentoring, self-study, and digital meet-ups.

  • Self-study before the first meeting
  • Two-day seminar at a hotel in the Oslo area, on 10-11 September  (Thursday, Friday)
  • Self-study, group work, peer mentoring and digital meet up
  • One-day seminar in Nydalen on 6 November  (Friday)
  • Self-study, group work, peer mentoring and digital meet up
  • One-day seminar in Nydalen on 12 February (Friday)
  • Self-study, group work, peer mentoring and digital meet up
  • One-day seminar in Nydalen on 19 March (Friday)
  • Self-study, group work, peer mentoring and digital meet up 
  • One-day seminar in Nydalen on 9 April (Friday)
  • Deadline portfolio: 2 June 2021 (Wednesday)
