Ways to get from/to Oslo Gardermoen Airport to/from the conference venue and hotels
- By train: The Airport Express Train (Flytoget) leaves every 10th minute from the airport (Oslo lufthavn), and takes you to Oslo S (the central station) or Nationaltheatret station in about 20 minutes. For half the price, the regular train company Vy (three departures per hour) takes you to the same locations in about 1-3 minutes extra. To get to Nydalen from Oslo S or Nationaltheatret, the best option is to take the metro (T-bane) line 4 or 5 (direction westbound) and get off at Nydalen station (more info on local transport below). The BI campus, Radisson Blu Hotel Nydalen, and Thon Hotel Storo will be in stone-throw distance
- By bus: Take the airport bus (Flybussen) directly from the airport (Oslo Lufthavn) and hop off at Nydalen station
Local transport
- Local transport in Oslo is good. The easiest way to get to Nydalen (the conference location) is with the metro line 4 or 5 (route map). The nearest metro stop, Nydalen, is located just in front of the main entrance of the conference building. More info on local transport in Oslo at https://ruter.no/en/
- The Ruter App for Android phones (Google play) and iPhones (App Store) is the easiest (and cheapest) way to buy tickets (single, 24 hours and multi-day tickets)
Ways to travel to/from Oslo
- By plane: There are direct flights to Norway from both the east coast of the continental US and many destinations in Europe. Oslo Gardermoen Airport is Norway's main hub, with scheduled flights to and from more than 100 international destinations.
- By train: An extensive rail network links Norway to the rest of Scandinavia and Europe. There are regular train connections to Oslo from Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg.
- By bus: You can reach Norway by bus from Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
- By ferry: There are regular ferry routes to Norway from Denmark, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands. In Denmark, the ferries go from Copenhagen, Frederikshavn and Hirtshals, from Kiel in Germany, from Strömstad in Sweden and from Eemshaven in the Netherlands.
Accomodation
BI has negotiated special prices for IAAE 2023 participants at the hotels near BI Campus Oslo in Nydalen and one in Oslo Centrum. The prices include VAT and are valid for bookings during the period 26-30 June made until May 28.
As a participant you book yourself and you pay directly at the hotels.

This hotel sits on top of the metro (T-bane) stop “Nydalen”. Go to Oslo S (Central station) with the airport express train (Flytoget) and connect to the metro from there.

This hotel is located in the heart of the city center, rising 22 stories overlooking the fjords.

BI has negotiated prices with 15% discount on the current price at Thon Hotel Storo during 26-30 June.
For those who book early, there will be good prices, and those who book close to conference dates will probably have to pay a little more.
