Diversity and inclusion issues are very relevant for the reputation of many companies today. On the one hand, they invest in a diverse workforce and try to drive the issue internally; on the other hand, they also communicate their attitude and values more strongly externally. However, D&I topics are often discussed controversially and can lead to communicative crises − especially in social media. Using concrete examples, the lecture will focus on essential communicative recommendations for companies on how they can deal with the topics professionally, conduct digital dialogs, protect themselves and thus strengthen their own (digital) reputation.
