The Value of a Collaborative Mindset

A new type of megaproject is needed to tackle some of the grand challenges facing societies in the 21st century. Norway has some of the most ambitious targets for Net Zero. But this raises questions about the mindsets and forms of collaboration needed to design and construct a sustainable built environment.

The Oslo Megaproject Workshop brings together leading academic researchers and professional practitioners in the Norwegian construction industry to listen, debate, and learn about new forms of collaboration required to successfully plan and deliver the new megaprojects.

BI Centre for Construction Industry has since 2005 conducted research aimed at better understanding the processes in the construction industry at large, including in buildings and infrastructure projects. We particularly focus on collaboration and change processes for tackling complex societal challenges, like the transition from linear to circular economy.

We wish a warm welcome to the 2-days event in Oslo, and thank Prosjekt Norge, Project Management Institute (PMI), and Statsbygg for sponsoring the workshop.
