Executive Master of Management in Energy
The Executive Master of Management in Energy is intense and demands commitment. Admission requirements are stringent to ensure that all accepted candidates are qualified and motivated to complete the programme.

- You must have completed a Bachelor’s degree, corresponding to 180 officially approved ECTS from a university or equivalent qualification.
- You must be 25 years of age or older.
- At least 4 years full-time work experience. If you have a prior Master’s degree, the requirement is 3 years full-time work experience.
- Two letters of recommendation, where at least one refers to the applicant's performance in a work situation.

Candidates who do not meet the requirements for achieved bachelor's degree but have substantial, international work experience may be considered in certain cases.
The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:
- Credits above 90 ECTS
- Work experience after the age of 25 (at least 6 years)*
- The level of currently held position
- Experience from organization work
- Own publications
- Particularly responsible management experience
Please note that the evaluation is based on minimum requirements based on age, number of credits achieved (above the requirement of 90 ECTS) and work experience (above 6 years). An applicant who only fulfills the minimum requirement in all categories is not eligible for admission.

We have continuous admissions, and we recommend that you apply as early as possible. Applications are processed until the programme is full or until the application deadline. You can cancel the programme up to six weeks before start-up at no cost. Your application and documents should be in English.

- Motivational essay: Please describe your career path, your accomplishments and your rationale for pursuing an EMM Energy. The purpose of the motivational essay is to get to know you and to find out what motivates you. The essay is not meant to be an academic article or a business memo, but rather your personal story. The essay should be between 500-800 words long.
BI reserves the right to ask for additional documentation which may be required for the admission process beyond the documentation stated under documentation requirements.

Qualifying applicants are called in for an interview to assess the applicant's abilities and motivation for the Executive Master of Management in Energy. The interview can take place face to face in Oslo campus or via videoconference. Please make sure that you submit your application and the required documents early, to have sufficient time to apply for a Schengen Tourist visa (single / multiple) if needed.

Applications received by 10 January will be given priority. BI Norwegian Business School will continue to accept applications until programme start, and no applications will be accepted after this date. Offers of admission will be made based on availability of seats in the programme.
Applicants from outside the EU who do not currently reside in Norway must apply by 10 January to allow time for securing a visitor’s visa.
For the BI Scholarship the application deadline is 1 December and offers will be sent to selected candidates by 6 weeks before the start-up of the programme.
