Processing time
The processing time for admissions to BI Norwegian Business School will vary according to the time of year, the course or programme in question and the educational background of the applicant.
Please note that the processing time for an application will vary from case to case and the processing time indicated below is only a guideline. All documentation must be uploaded with the application and submitted in order for us to process your application.
Bachelor Programmes: Full-time
-
Applicants with this background can submit an application without enclosing a diploma until they receive this in June. Once the application is received by BI, it is registered in the system and the case administrator will add the documentation that must be uploaded with the application. The application is then returned to the applicant who will submit documentation as soon as this becomes available. The applicant will receive an application decision 2-4 weeks after all documentation has been uploaded and submitted.
-
Applicants who are applying directly to the 2nd or 3rd academic year, and who want passed subjects from another university college/university to be incorporated, must expect a processing time of at least 2 months.
-
Applicants who want admissions evaluation based on prior learning and work experience must expect a processing time of up to 2 months. All applications with this background should be submitted with full documentation by 1 August so the case administrator has time to process the application before the start of studies.
-
Applicants who want their application to be evaluated based on the 23/5 rule must expect a processing time of up to 4 weeks.
-
Applicants who want their application to be processed with a special assessment or exemption must expect a processing time of up to 2-3 months, as these applications are evaluated by BI's admission committee. The deadline for applying for exemption or special assessment is 1 August.
