Housing

BI is proud to offer a housing guarantee for international students. In cooperation with our housing providers, international students can choose from several different housing locations.

PRE-APPLICATION FOR HOUSING

International students at BI must submit the pre-application for housing form by 1 May (autumn semester intake) and 1 October (spring semester intake) to be guaranteed housing.

The BI housing guarantee

International students coming to BI will be guaranteed housing only if they submit the pre-application form before the given deadline, and pay the fee of 1000 NOK. If you are subject to a rejection letter from BI or a rejected visa application, the fee will be returned to you. Therefore, please apply before you get your acceptance letter and/or visa.

Deadlines for students coming to study

  • Spring semester: 1st of October (pre-application form opens for registration 1st of September)
  • Autumn semester: 1st of May (pre-application form opens for registration 10th of February)


Please note:

The Pre-Application form is for international students starting at BI and coming to Norway for the first time.

Please use a computer and not a phone when completing the form.

Have your credit card ready when starting the application. An online payment of the fee (1000 NOK) is required to complete the registration. Do not refresh or leave the web page while making a payment. 

After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email from the BI Housing Office. Later in May/October you will receive another email confirming which housing provider you have been assigned.

I have completed the Pre-Application form – now what?

The next step to be guaranteed housing is to follow the instructions you recieive from the BI Housing Office.

Please do not apply directly to our housing providers before instructed to do so. After you are assigned a housing provider, please apply directly to them before the deadline we give you in the email.

It is important that you accept the first offer you receive from your housing provider, as you are only guaranteed one offer.
