Faculty Positions in Finance

The Department of Finance at BI Norwegian Business School is seeking applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at all levels: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have or be close to completing a Ph.D. in Finance or Economics with a Finance emphasis. We are seeking candidates who will produce high quality research in finance. Applicants for associate or full professor must have a strong record of scholarly publications. Employment begins in August 2021.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: BI Norwegian Business School is a private institution with attractive teaching loads and competitive salaries. Qualified candidates may be eligible for additional salary grants from Norges Bank Investment Management through its Norwegian Finance Initiative (NFI). The school offers courses at the undergraduate, MSc, MBA, and executive levels and has a doctoral program in Finance. BI currently has more than 20,000 students enrolled in all of its programs.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE: The department has a strong emphasis on research and its faculty members regularly publish in leading journals. The topics span all major fields of Finance, including asset pricing, corporate finance, household finance, macro-finance, and market microstructure. The department is ranked 10th in Europe and 2nd among the Nordic countries, based on top-Finance publications from 2005 to 2016 and 2013 to 2017 (U of Texas Dallas rankings).
