Corporate and External Relations

Do you want to strengthen your company's relationship with BI's students and academic forces? Our partner programme builds a bridge between BI and the business community.

Through collaboration, we aim to build long-term, value-creating relationships with businesses, foundations, and public sector institutions.

Together, we can strengthen the development of a sustainable and knowledge-based Norway. Increased relevance also ensures that our students graduate with skills that match the needs of society.

"Through our long-term collaboration with BI Norwegian Business School, we aim to promote and emphasise the incredible value the maritime industry creates for society. We are proud supporters of the BI Center for Ocean Business. We believe that the expertise we have through 160 years of business, combined with the scientific capacity at BI, contributes to progress in the maritime industry and the great value this creates."

We offer collaboration in two areas:

Students

A scholarship carrying your company’s name highlights long-term commitment and corporate responsibility, while drawing attention to subject areas or values that are important to you – and that you wish to promote within the student community.

Each scholarship can be tailored to a specific field of study or demographic criteria, ensuring that you reach the students most relevant to your business.

Through BI’s own channels, your scholarship will be widely profiled, helping to strengthen your company’s position and visibility among the talents of the future.

Examples of company-sponsored scholarships:

  • A. Wilhelmsen Foundation Scholarship Programme for international students residing outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland
  • EIDRA Women in Data Science Master Scholarship
  • The Norwegian Institute of Public Accountants’ (Revisorforeningen) Scholarship for the Master’s in Accounting and Auditing
  • Gjensidige – Women in Technology Master Scholarship

Students combine practical work within your organisation with academic guidance from BI.

The result is valuable skills development for the students – and a tangible contribution to your business. Internships can also serve as an effective recruitment channel, allowing you to connect with future talent at an early stage.

Together, students develop creative ideas and solutions to real-world problems – while you gain valuable insights, visibility, and connections with the decision-makers of tomorrow.

BI offers a dedicated programme for students who want to develop their case-solving skills. As one of Europe’s leading business schools, we have extensive experience in organising and participating in international case competitions.

BI International Case Competition is a highly recognised event, bringing prestigious business schools from around the world to Oslo each year to compete with the best solutions to real business challenges.

We are seeking partners for two annual case competitions:

  • BI National Case Competition
  • BI International Case Competition

To achieve this, we work closely with businesses and societal partners on initiatives that enhance students’ daily lives and sense of community.

One example is the partnership between Reitan Retail, BI, and the student organisation BISO, which helps build community and lower barriers to participation across campuses.

The collaboration supports initiatives such as:

  • Welcome programmes and orientation week, ensuring a safe and inclusive start to student life
  • Social events and networking opportunities to foster community and well-being
  • Mental health initiatives – activities that reduce barriers to seeking support and encourage openness around mental health

Student welfare is a shared responsibility, and we invite other businesses and societal actors to collaborate with us. Together, we can:

  • Create social and academic networking opportunities
  • Facilitate inclusion and participation for all students
