The programme is designed to give you a broad and solid understanding of theories and concepts central to business, such as organizational behaviour, strategy, risk management, supply chain optimization, marketing, and sustainability. You will also learn how to efficiently organize data science workflows using a wide range of data types, such as time series and text, and code and operate machine learning tools ranging from simple linear and non-linear regression and classification models to deep learning. This interdisciplinary programme will challenge and enhance your technical and quantitative skills, and improve your ability to propose, execute, and communicate analytical solutions to complex problems.
Research centre for the future of data science
Simula@BI is a research centre that focuses on applied and fundamental research in data science, with a special focus on applications in the intersection between business and data science. The partnership between BI and Simula Research Laboratory aims at strengthening the link between statistical methodology and machine learning, and between algorithms and high-impact applications of particular relevance to society. By using our industry connections and providing you with data and cases, you will get the opportunity to work practically and methodically to solve real-world challenges. You and your team will present your report and it will be evaluated by industry partners and an academic committee. When applying for a job, this case report can contribute to showcasing the competence and skills you have acquired through your studies.
