On October 6, President Inge Jan Henjesand at BI invites Mr. Johan H. Andresen jr. - investor and Chairman of the Board of Ferd- to a discussion on:

Impact Investing, social entrepreneurship and microfinance projects which play an important role in combatting climate change and integrate sustainability/ESG through making social impact, creating jobs, reducing inequality and poverty, boosting prosperity and protecting the environment.

Sustainable development rests on three pillars: economic growth, social equality, and environmental protection. The core to sustainable development is the necessity of addressing these three pillars as a whole. Financial, social, and environmental considerations are inextricably linked.

“Impact investing, social entrepreneurship and microfinance are linked to our core business because we are part of the same universal community. We cannot think about success without taking into consideration the role that we play in making a difference for our communities and economies.”

“Having a positive impact can be both felt and measured. Ferd has been doing this for a long time, both through our work as an active owner and investor and through initiatives such as our work with social entrepreneurs and the Nordic Microfinance Initiative.” (Ferd AS Vision)
